We were pleased to welcome around 200 delegates to the annual meeting in Oxford
on 13 th September. A large variety of topics were presented, ranging from practical
applications and how to obtain the best images for your patient, to imaging with
electronic devices, cutting-edge/future applications, difficult/niche areas, and even
how to image sustainably! We had a radiographer track for the first time, which was
integrated into the programme, with many radiographers and other health care staff
attending the sessions. There was much opportunity for networking and forging
future collaborations, as well as a good opportunity for the UK CMR community to
meet and catch up. The superb modern Blavatnik School of Government served as a
great conference venue, and helped to bring everyone together as the pictures
below demonstrate.
The young investigator award final was hotly contested, and the margin between the
top 4 finalists was extremely small, making for a difficult judgement on the winners.
The eventual winners are highlighted below. We also introduced a best radiographer
case prize (winners below).
We hope to see you all at next year’s conference in London on 31 st March/1 st April
2025 (we are moving back to our original Spring conference timing from next year).
The winners of the BSCMR Young Investigators at the AGM in Oxford are:
Thank you to all who attended the hugely successful annual conference in Oxford,

organising committee.
See you in London next March/April at our renewed conference time in the year!
